gurnoor kaur
A Sikh Punjabi woman learning the art of life through an artist's touch.I work with anything I can get my hands on, including paper, fabric, metal, and beads. My art welcomes play, rest, and reflection for the wounded feminine. It honors the lives of women within my ancestry. It nurtures the feminine and bears witness to the dance between the masculine and feminine. My art is a safe place from a world ravaged by classism, colonialism, and patriarchy. I amplify visions of a kinder world flowing with rest, play, and justice.
I reside on the ancestral lands of the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot People in Seattle, Washington, USA. My works are nourished by the 5 rivers of my homeland, Punjab.
